This unique form of aerial photography is achieved using a radio - controlled electric model helicopter mounted with a high resolution digital SLR camera. By positioning the aircraft we are able to take images from any point in the sky, so any view point of the subject can be achieved.
Advantages of using the model helicopter for photography:
- Cost effective alternative to hire full - sized aircraft
- Can fly below typical 1000ft restriction for full-sized aircraft
- Low altitude helps filter out haze and pollution in the air
- Take off and landing area small
- Photographs can be viewed and given to client as soon as helicopter lands
